On the price of strategic mistakes

Optimism is, above all, the ability to explain failure and correct mistakes, not a dashing sermon of success.

On 29.01.25 on planet Earth, according to the Chinese cosmic calendar "xiali," the year of the snake began.

The snake is a symbol of wisdom. That is why the initiation by the energies of the cosmic wisdom of decision-makers instills in Sky Politics theorists a revolutionary optimism for the awakening of the Kremlin's backroom bosses and the correction of the strategic mistakes they have made.

First, what is at issue is the chimera of the concept of a multipolar world, which has brought the diplomacy of New Russia into a state of strategic solitude, as well as strategic confusion before the cunning choice between normalizing relations with the USA and profaning relations with the PRC.

Since Russia is a pole of independence and reliance on its own forces, no lines of force in international relations any longer bind Moscow with the obligations of an indestructible alliance either to countries that previously gravitated toward it or to other poles of power.

The idea of multipolarity as an alternative to the supposedly unipolar world arose after the USSR's defeat in the Cold War with the USA. Although the USSR's place in the nature-like bipolar world was immediately taken by China, which, however, decided for the time being not to stick its neck out.

Since 2023, the chimera of multipolarity in the Russian Federation began to be quietly replaced by the nature-like concept of the Great North – Global South, exposed by the creator of Kremlin meanings, V. Surkov, in the manifesto "The Birth of the North." The essence of the concept is the seizure of leadership in the new world order by the kindred civilizations of the North: the North American United States, the Nordic civilization of Europe, and Russia, as the heiress of Hyperborea.

It is precisely the idea of a common sociocultural space of the Great North, as a historical project opposing China, the SCO, and BRICS, that underlies the optimism of Russia's friends of the US dollar regarding the success of the fateful Putin–Trump talks.

However, the nature-like North–South scheme is also contrary to the cherished destiny of Great Rus' as the Light from the East.

Second, the decrepit doctrine of Moscow – the Third Rome, foisted upon the Muscovite Tsardom by the Roman pope and through the efforts of the Judaizers in the 15th century together with the niece of the last emperor of Byzantium, the Roman woman Sophia Palaiologos.

The doctrine of Moscow – the Third Rome corresponds to the concept of the Great North, for both the European Union considers itself the heir of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation of Charlemagne, and the Capitol – the temple on a hill in Washington – is a symbol of the capital of Pax Romana.

Optimism is openness to the future. Whereas the concept of New Russia as a "Great Sovereign Conservative Power," based on the doctrine of the Third Rome, is a look backward.

The traditionalism of the "Long State of Putin" rests on the philosophy of Russian nationalism of Ivan Ilyin and the continuer of the cause of the Union of the Russian People in our days, A. Dugin.

For the multiethnic and multiconfessional Russian Federation, the doctrine of the Third Rome is counterproductive, for in the non-Orthodox non-Russian hearts of citizens of the Russian Federation it is associated only with soulless state tyranny.

The doctrine of Moscow – the Third Rome does not contribute to the conceptual unity and ideological cohesion of the CSTO countries either. Here lies the reason for the suspension of Armenia's membership in the CSTO. The same tendency of departure from Moscow's imperial role is increasingly demonstrated by Kazakhstan.

The alternative to the Russian Black-Hundred nationalism of Ivan Ilyin are the ideas of the Horde Eurasianism of N. Trubetskoy.

Accordingly, the political alternative to the conservative doctrine of Moscow – the Third Rome is the future-oriented civilizational project Greater Eurasia – the Third Horde.

The project Greater Eurasia – the Third Horde, as a family of peoples of non-Western civilizations, opposes with the Light from the East the ideas of integration on the values of enlightened Europe of the Great North.

And here the Kremlin again stands before the cunning choice of true partners in the Great Game of world projects for 2025-2028.

Third, the trap of the Special Military Operation in the Ukrainian theater of operations. Begun within the chimera of a multipolar world without a clear strategy and counting on swift combat actions by mobile tactical groups, the SMO turned into a positional protracted war of attrition with massive use of artillery and drones. In three years of fighting, it has not been possible to achieve the capitulation of the Kyiv regime before the Kremlin.

With President Trump's coming to power in the USA, the threat of new harsh sanctions has increased, burdensome for the Russian economy in terms of revenues from oil exports, international payments, and imports of important commodity items necessary for running the economy.

Under these conditions, the dashing rhetoric of the successes of the Russian Armed Forces on the battlefield is being replaced by justifications of the Kremlin's wise policy, which has prohibited the escalation of combined-arms combat actions into nuclear war.

It may be supposed that the prevention of nuclear war will be called Russia's victory in the peace talks under the aegis of the USA and the PRC.

Correcting the aforementioned strategic errors and forming a holistic picture of the world adequate to the processes of global transformation is a necessary condition for understanding the perspective, what variants of the future are possible, and how to achieve the foretold Transfiguration of Rus’ into the cherished “Kingdom of Truth”.

Revolutionary optimism in solving these problems is brought to people by the system of views born in Russia under the name Sky Politics.
