"Jointly preserve historical memory, promote a correct view of history"

"Amid the accelerating evolution of unprecedented changes unseen in a century and the profound transformation of the international order, PRC Chairman Xi Jinping and RF President Vladimir Putin, relying on historical and strategic heights, under complex external conditions resolutely advance China-Russia relations in the new era, which are characterized by eternal good-neighborliness, comprehensive strategic interaction, mutually beneficial cooperation and shared gain."

The truth is always bitter. So now, on the eve of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 (9 May) and of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggressors of 1937-1945 (3 September), Sky Politics theorists note with bitterness that The Great Friendship between the USSR and the PRC, which arose on the values of the red idea of the good of the people and was sealed in blood in the "war of resistance to American aggression and aid to Korea" of 1950-1953, has since 2001 declined to the level of good-neighborliness.

In 2025, the 80th anniversary of the founding in San Francisco of the United Nations is also marked. The founding countries of the UN were the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Republic of China (中華民國), whose successors are the New liberal Russia and the Chinese People's Republic (the red symbolism of the USSR changed to blue and vice versa, the blue symbolism of the Kuomintang changed to the red of the PRC).

And now, relying on different values: the RF – of democratic choice, the PRC – of socialism with Chinese characteristics, both countries as permanent members of the UN Security Council "bear especially important responsibility for upholding the results of the victory in WWII".

But also in geopolitics, the RF acts as the civilization of the North, while the PRC, on the multilateral BRICS platform, has taken up the unification of the Global South to "ensure the correct direction in global governance" (the South is overcoming the West).

The current state of relations of comprehensive strategic interaction between the PRC and the RF is characterized as the best in their entire history. A model of a new type of relations, not directed against third countries, is better than a military alliance.

However, what is absent from the official formulations of the PRC is any mention of People's China accepting New Russia into its Community of Shared Future for Mankind.

According to a statement by the PRC MFA, "during his visit to Moscow on 07-10.05.25, Chairman Xi Jinping will hold strategic consultations with President V. Putin on issues of the further development of bilateral relations under new conditions and on a number of pressing problems on the international and regional agenda.

It is expected that the important agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries will deepen mutual political trust, enrich the content of strategic interaction, promote practical cooperation in all spheres, bring more benefits to the peoples of the two countries and introduce more stability and positive energy into the international community."
