Speech by A. Devyatov 01.05.24 My friends, citizens, brothers and sisters! Today is the 1st of May, and I, Sky Politics theorist Andrey Devyatov, will have a talk with you on the theme: "Signs and Symbols of Our Victory". Let us begin with May Day. May Day is the holiday of labor, which the Americans invented. I was in Chicago, and there in the history museum this glorious page of the celebration of May Day is presented. At the same time, under Soviet power the holiday of May Day was called the holiday of "solidarity of the working people". Not to be confused with the rights of man and citizen. Solidarity is "we are all together", while the rights of man and citizen naturally presuppose the freedom of the individual. Freedom, however, is the foundation of inequality, whereas solidarity calls for a certain equality and justice. Now the symbolism has changed completely. Moreover, when democracy won, that is, the rights of man and citizen, the solidarity of the working people became an anachronism. And the symbols of solidarity were naturally the sickle and hammer: workers and peasants with the sickle and hammer. Hammer on the right, sickle on the left This is our Russian emblem Whether you want to reap or you want to forge You'll get the same anyway... This is a poem by Vladimir Kornilov, a Soviet dissident poet. The color of May Day was red. The symbolism of labor: the sickle and hammer. The expression of solidarity: the march of the living – the demonstration of the working people. Under Soviet power, the parade of troops and the demonstration of the working people: the march of the living were held 2 times a year: on the 1st of May and the 7th of November. The 1st of May: spring, blue sky, flowers, young greenery. May Day was invented as a holiday of solidarity by the Americans, and Lenin, in a letter to American workers, wrote these unfading lines about the meaning of this solidarity of the working people: "He is no communist who does not recognize the greatest sacrifice on the part of his Fatherland, including the death of hundreds of thousands and even millions of people for the sake of the liberation of the working people, for the sake of the victory of the world revolution!" The symbol of Universality: "Russia's lot is Universality!", and the symbol of this communist tomorrow was, of course, Lenin. And Lenin, as the leader of the world proletariat, as the founder of the state of workers and peasants with the sickle and hammer against the background of the globe, Stalin buried in the mausoleum. And the mausoleum became a symbol not only of the dream of humanity, which began from reliance on one's own Fatherland, but also a symbol of the victory of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet people over Germany. What happened when "the solidarity of the working people" was replaced by "the rights of man and citizen"?

The red color was removed, replaced with blue. Blue is the color of liberalism. The flag of the ruling party "United Russia" is blue, the whole framing is in blue, the slogans are on a blue color, and even the flag of Zhirinovsky's party, the Liberal-Democratic one, is also blue. Then the sickle and hammer were removed, and from the solidarity of the working people only the slogan "Peace, Labor, May" remained. In today's situation, when what is at stake is victory in the Special Military Operation in Ukraine, the word "peace" has become irrelevant. That slogan too has been removed, and only "labor and May" remains. May Day, as the holiday of the solidarity of the working people, of the dream of humanity, is inevitably linked with the Day of Victory of the Red Army over fascist Germany. Now the emphases have changed. Officially, those in the Kremlin speak of Russia as a Sovereign conservative state. Putin's Long State (a term of Surkov, the creator of Kremlin meanings) could not, in signs and symbols, retain the symbolism of solidarity, since the bet was placed on the rights of man and citizen and it was necessary to free itself from the very idea of this administrative-command system, which was represented by the Mausoleum. On its granite firmament the leaders would stand and greet the ceremonial march of troops and the march of the living: the demonstration of the working people. First came the ceremonial march of troops, and immediately the march of the living: the demonstration of the working people with red flags and a jubilant Moscow in festive attire to inspiring music that called forward: "Time, forward!" The march of the living was replaced by our liberals, our democrats, with the march of the dead (the Immortal Regiment). And the march of the dead is, naturally, grief, once again grief, sorrow and commemoration of the fallen. So, it was necessary to fence off the symbol of the administrative-command system, it was necessary to remove the memory of the leader of the world proletariat and the dream of humanity and to concentrate on the rights of man and citizen, on the might of the sovereign conservative state. Therefore the tradition of the new Russia became the fencing off of the symbol of the Mausoleum with theatrical props. Instead of standing on the tribune of the Mausoleum – and Brezhnev, even being already a sick man, still stood, because the parade of troops is not some kind of show of "little green men", which is now encountered in a seated position, but a sacred action connected with the invisible world. This is the triumph of the spirit, and the leaders stood. And the passing of the troops and the march of the living filled the leaders with the energy of life, since together with the movement of the troops and the march of the living there was this movement of the spirit, a wave of the spirit, inspiration. That is not wanted, and so "by tradition" the Mausoleum is fenced off with theatrical props. Why? Because the sacred action has turned into a show, into a spectacle. Moreover, when the Minister of Defense was A.E. Serdyukov in civilian clothes, elements of showmanship, entertainment, spectacle were even introduced into the parade of troops. The troops demonstrated drill techniques with carbines, formed the figure of a "flowerbed" and so on. In every way the sacredness was suppressed, and in its place – a spectacle with little green men. And what do we see today in 2024? On Red Square Lenin's Mausoleum is again fenced off with props, temporary tribunes have been built, chairs for sitting have been set out, that is, the spectacle will continue. All this rests on the ideology of the rights and freedoms of man, and not of solidarity.

On Red Square in the center of Moscow, if you walk around there, there used to be the Hotel Moskva, it said: “Moskva,” now it says in English: “Four Seasons.” Go along Tverskaya, all the shop signs there are already in English; this bowing before the West is expressed precisely in the abundance of names in English. And the only word in Russian in the center of Moscow is “Lenin” on the Mausoleum! The Russian word also needs to be closed off, and so it is closed off. And now about victory. It is appropriate to speak of our victory over Ukraine in the Special Military Operation. The question of our victory over Ukraine in the SMO is beyond doubt. At the same time, it is passed over in silence how this victory looks. History is the science of all sciences. How was victory in a war celebrated? The Americans, in connection with victory in the Cold War, struck a medal “For Victory in the Cold War.” What did the victory over Germany look like? 20 million medals were struck “For Victory over Germany” and “For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War” with Stalin’s profile. “For Victory over Germany” on the St. George ribbon. This medal was excluded from the symbolism of victory entirely! Since Stalin’s profile does not fit with the freedoms of man and citizen. There ought to be some medal for victory over Ukraine in the SMO, oughtn’t there? Let us take the Orthodox tsars: the tsar’s visage on the medal. Whose visage, then? Obviously, Putin’s. Whose else? Therefore, if we speak of victory on 9 May—Victory Day—then 7 May is also a day of victory: the inauguration for another term of the President of the Long State, Putin. This, of course, is a symbol of victory! 87.28% of votes “for” is precisely the symbol of victory. There is no room for doubt here. Of course, on the medal for victory over Ukraine in the SMO there should be Putin’s profile. On which ribbon? I think on the St. George ribbon, since that is the trend now, ribbons are being handed out. Although it will be: Stalin “For Victory over Germany” on the St. George ribbon, and here too. The choice remains as follows: either on the St. George ribbon or on the tricolor ribbon. The word “tricolor” is not Russian, nevertheless there is no getting away from it. During the Great Patriotic War there was the Russian Liberation Army, the ROA, under the tricolor flag. Under Soviet power all this was called treason to the Motherland in the form of going over to the side of the enemy. And who really defeated the administrative-command system, the solidarity of the working people? The tricolor won. Probably the medal should be on the tricolor. Since these are the colors of democracy. Where did the tricolor come from? It is Masonic: liberty, equality and fraternity. Only Peter I the Great, a Westernizer, dragged this flag out of the Netherlands, and there was a bourgeois revolution there, changing the order of the colors. Although the imperial colors are black and yellow, the democracy that swept away the “prison of nations” in the form of the tsarist empire immediately seized upon this tricolor—the flag of the February Revolution. Stalin did not hold troop parades on 9 May, since in the doctrine only the war was Great. Why was the war Great? Because the people paid an enormous price. The liberals shuffled the meanings, and now the victory has become great. The victory of the Red Army! The Red Army has been forgotten, and accordingly the flags were changed, and in the troops the banners of victory were replaced with banners bearing crosses. Where do these crosses come from? It is “Moscow—the Third Rome.” And Rome—where is that? It is in the West. This is bowing before the West. And the army turned from a workers’ and peasants’ army into an army of crusaders. Look under what banners our valiant warriors march. Moreover, the army was a people’s army, and it has become—a foreign word—a contract army. British contract law… If you remove the foreign word “contract,” it will be: mercenary. So there you have “crusaders,” “mercenaries,” all these are Russian words. I do not invest anything particularly bad in them. The symbols changed, and the meanings changed too. Because the world is ruled by signs and symbols, not by words and laws. What is the contradiction? To take as an example how victory in the Great Patriotic War was celebrated? Then the leaders must stand on the Mausoleum. The banners of the defeated troops must be thrown at its foot. What is the meaning of the symbolism? The banners of the defeated enemy were thrown at the foot of the Mausoleum, and on the Mausoleum stood the leaders. How will the celebration of victory over Ukraine in the SMO be arranged? It is hard to say for certain. To uncover the Mausoleum, to stand on the Mausoleum—the present authorities will not bring themselves to do it. It will remain the same: the Mausoleum is fenced off with theatrical props and a spectacle is staged, the spectators sit, and meanwhile some words are spoken. We shall see what words we hear on 9 May 2024. There is no doubt that a victorious conclusion of the SMO is expected. The last letter of the Latin alphabet, “Z,” serves as the symbol. Why? All this is bowing before the West, solid Anglicisms. Why do we need this word “inauguration”? “Taking office” in Russian. Where did inauguration come from? It is taken from the American lexicon. There it is called “inauguration.” With us, accordingly, there are some “merchandisers,” “marketplaces.” Always some foreign words; there are no Russian words except “Lenin” on Red Square! You turn on the television: the news. The news ends with sports matters. They will certainly show what is happening in hockey on the American continent. How those “Washingtons” played the “Winnipegs,” where Ovechkin is, someone else. Every single day they show us American hockey! Why?! After that, traditional values, a sovereign conservative power, and the American playoffs. For no known reason. Bowing before the West! What else have the rights of man and citizen brought to our God-protected Fatherland? The accessibility of betrayal. There used to be a rejection of betrayal. But now the captain of the “Dynamo” team of 15 years moves to “Spartak.” That is betrayal, that is impossible! But no, freedom! “Joyfully at the entrance” it greeted such things. This wormhole exists as a constant factor which, against the background of unconscious perception, acts upon people. And this duality unconsciously, unconsciously shapes minds and hearts for what is called the “Long State of Putin.” What else ought to be noted as a prospect. Our Victory. What is “our”? “Our” is the self. And where is this our self? In the anthem, the Internationale: “We will destroy the whole world of violence to its foundations. And our, we will build a new world: who was nothing, will become everything.” That new world, our new world. Whose “our”? All humanity’s. Because “Russia’s lot is Universality.” But why has this ideal withered? Because the bet has been placed on a sovereign conservative power. And a sovereign conservative power is: “Moscow—the Third Rome.” And “the Third Rome”—where is that? In Europe. Bowing before the West. So there you have it: on the one hand, talk of traditional values, and on the other hand, bowing before the West. Therefore the red idea, the interpretation of the times of Soviet power: 1 May, the day of international solidarity of the working people in the struggle for the liberation of labor from the oppression of capital. That was the meaning of 1 May. I will repeat once more: only at the “20th Anniversary of Victory” in 1965 did Brezhnev, Leonid Ilyich, for the first time arrange a celebration on 9 May. And before that Stalin did not celebrate 9 May. And afterwards too there were no parades on 9 May, nothing. And it all resumed under Yeltsin at the “50th Anniversary of Victory.” But Yeltsin then, at the “50th Anniversary of Victory,” still stood on the Mausoleum; he could allow himself that, since he was a member of the Politburo, nothing had changed. But Putin could no longer stand on the Mausoleum. And after that, strictly speaking, these “traditions” began: everything was fenced off… There was also an attempt to recall the parade of 7 November 1941: snow-covered Moscow and troops leaving Red Square straight for the front. And now the situation is the same. These troops that pass across Red Square must quietly turn around and go to reinforce the SMO troop groupings. Therefore it is quite interesting what the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the victor (87.28%), will say to the people on 9 May. Where will these troops go? Not long remains: we shall live and see. Our victory: “Russia’s lot is Universality,” this is a return to humanity’s dream and a bet on solidarity, not on individualism. A bet on justice, which is higher than law A bet on the spiritual, which is higher than the material A bet on the common, which is higher than the private A bet on service, which is higher than possession A bet on power, which is higher than property.

On this festive day I want to raise a toast: “To the Russian people!” Delivered by Andrey Devyatov No954 of 02.05.24
